Inspiring Spaces: Music Rooms

I'm so very grateful to have you wonderful folks who enjoy reading my blogs and am always excited to post guest blogs by my fellow design lovers! My friend Jessica from Arcadian Lighting kindly wrote a blog for Designtology on inspiring music themed rooms that she has found and their ability to marry great design with muiscality. A definite fun read for other music lovers out there!

Whether you are a musician or simply a fan, designating a single room or space in your home for music is a wonderful way to create an inspiring atmosphere. Musical instruments are beautiful in their own right and make perfect decoration pieces. So, even if you've never mastered the piano, creating your very own music room inspired by your favorite musical instruments or genres will definitely liven up your home! I hope you enjoy!

 

The stark modern lines and subdued palette in this music room draws on the simple elegance of the piano. The Greek key rug adds a jolt of energy to the room, as well.
